Left right centre, we are all poor in comparison to the rich who pay a smaller percentage of taxes compared to the average. I don’t want too much change but I do want slow progressive positive change to the redistribution of the wealth from the mega rich.
I read the Guardian more than any other paper but really hate it sometimes for output like this
1) turning your back on the far-right is a weird way to describe the best ever showing for the far-right
2) lazily referring to half the UK population as far-right is just ignorant, even if I would agree that too many people are too right-wing
No it didn’t
I hope we get rid of the Tories as soon as we possibly can. Johnson, to my mind, is the worst PM in living memory. But far right? Not really.
With Brexit having happened, which was more damaging than a far right government…does it really matter?

Does the far right candidate getting a higher percentage of the votes than previous elections really count as ‘turning its back on the far right’?
Implicitly characterizing half of Britain as far right. Next up: anyone flying the cross of St George around world cup time is a racist.
The UK is largely Centre Right whenever polled.
Last election, Boris’s Tories were the closest to Centre Right policies.
Next election, Starmer’s Labour will be the closest to Centre Right policies, which is a big reason they’re polling well.
Young Labour supporters might not like it, but the average age of the UK is 41.
The average person owns a house, is near the peak of their earning power, and not feeling too bad off in spite of inflation.
They don’t want massive redistribution, nor a collosal shake-up of the status quo.
[Would wave to the far-right useful idiots who be working their balls off down-voting this post, but, you know…](https://nitter.net/pic/media%2FFQdHPjWXMAIbpeK.jpg)
And Moby too. Can’t leave out Moby.
