Konecranes has supplied its X-series crane to Croatia-based packaging firm Paklog to address the demands of its expanding operations in Zagreb.

The order was placed in May this year, and the runway structure and crane are currently operational. It represents the first crane installation at Paklog’s facility.

Konecranes’ X-series crane, with a 5-ton load capacity, was installed on a runway supported by existing concrete pillars.

The crane features a 7.5m span, a lifting height of 5.5m, and a 43m runway length.

Also, it comes with advanced elements such as radio control, safety lights, and stepless inverters, enhancing the precision and safety of Paklog’s operations.

The development is said to enhance the efficiency, throughput, and safety in handling various cargo types.

Paklog managing director Kristina Kleković said: “We chose Konecranes because of their experience and reputation for so many years.

“Konecranes is a global leader in material handling, so our decision to choose their mobile crane was easy.

“This is our first crane, and working with Konecranes gives us confidence that we can handle our customers’ goods efficiently and safely as they expect us to do.”

In June this year, Konecranes introduced its X-series industrial crane, succeeding the CXT model with a compact, safe design and wireless upgrade capabilities.

Its connectivity and smart components allow for seamless software upgrades, adapting to evolving customer needs.

The X-series cranes provide flexibility with optional smart features that can be added as businesses need change.

Troubleshooting and software updates can be performed from ground level, reducing potential downtime and enhancing operational efficiency, said Konecranes.

Kleković said: “We see Konecranes as a partner who will support us in our work, development and growth in the Croatian market. We also believe that this is the first in a series of future collaborations.”

“We recommended our latest X-series crane to Paklog because its features are well-suited to their operations.

“The integrated radio control, stepless inverter, and Smart Features will help them handle goods with greater accuracy, efficiency, and safety.”
