Not that bad of an analysis of France situation right now, which is quite refreshing from Financial Times.
Now he left out the struggle between Europeist/Neolib/Mondialist, mostly supported by Finance and millionaire and Sovreignist, supported by what is left of french industry which is mostly french MIC, that underlines all this.
The french never digested that Sarkozy over ruled the 2004 referemdum about Lisbon treaty. They tried to get rid of Neoliberal, by voting Holland which ended out being it even more.
Fillion should’ve been elected in 2015… but under circonstances that still need to be elucidated got investigated and prosecuted in record time never seen in France since Partisan reprisal just after WWII. Most believe his not so much Atlantist stance and Pro-Russian rapprochement cost him the election.
From there Macron gets elected, because facing LePen. 2023 he gets elected again but just because media pushed Melenchon forward to force a center coallition around him… but didn’t get parlement majority, the french not being dupe.
Overall nothing will change until next Presidential election.
Right now I believe LePen is still ineligible, so she is out and her Dauphin has no chance. Melenchon needs anticipated election to represent himself because in 2027 he would be way to old to run, hence his agressive stance to try to get Macron destituated, which, spoiler alert, will never happen, but Macron can’t represent him self again… and no one seems to be in capacity to replace him.
So yeah… right now France faces a huge polical gap that is only filled of Neoliberalism/mondialist and extremist , and the french want none of those, hence the stalemate.
Note that there is still a chance of somekind of uprise, or coup, because a lot of apolitical movement try to voice the french discontent which refuse to get phagocyted by any political party or even syndicats.
Personally I think a coup and military rule is towards what France is heading, especially in Ukraine war contexte and Germany massive rearmament plan that intends to out scale France.
