  1. is this information certain?

Because I don’t see that ending well, Ukrain has already gained a big army and Russia will not get away unharmed.

  2. Don’t know what of what strategic importance Moldova is with the exception of gaining ground closer to the Bohorodchany gas storage facilities and the other gas infrastructure at Uzhhorod.

  3. There’s another so called Russian independent territory there I think, they would use it as another excuse, even though only illitterate functional people believe Putin lies.
In case EU has to do something more.

  4. So what happens to all the people that are blaming this war on Ukraine wanting to join nato? Or what about the people saying this is all the USA fault? This would kind of shatter those talking points if Russia moves on to invade a second country, especially one that isn’t considering nato, and doesn’t have much of a relationship with the US, wouldn’t it?

  5. For 30 years, the West looked complacently at Moldova’s suffering at the hand of their Russian tormentors. Only on March 15 of this year, after Russia invaded Ukraine, the Council of Europe, an international organization including 46 member states of Europe, designated Transnistria as a “territory of Moldova occupied by Russia”.

Russian troops were supposed to withdraw in 1994, they are still there today. Western Europe, the US and Ukraine (at the time, controlled by Russians) mingled in the Transnistrian “negotiations” only to eliminate from the discussion table Romania, Moldova’s sole friend. German politicians acknowledge today that German policy in the past was to serve Russian interest in former USSR-occupied territories in exchange for oil. The chief EU representative in Moldova was a Hungarian person defending openly Russian interests. We know today that Hungary is aligned with Russia in its geopolitical views and interests.
