Does attempted murder require planning ahead of time? It certainly sounds like this guy was trying to kill the baby.

Sleep deprivation does terrible things to people.
I’ve had to step out and take breaths while my kids are screaming.
Doesn’t excuse this wretch obviously.
13 years is a bit much. People get less for manslaughter.
The bloke no doubt needed help with his mental health. So sad, glad the child survived.
shaken baby syndrome is a serious issue, and a major cause of disability/death in babies. This happens more often than you think, even by mothers (!)
13 years (out in 6-8) is a joke for leaving a baby permanently disabled these courts clearly don’t give a shit about child abuse.
Does this story sound like he actually knows the baby or family?
I dislike people with anger issues and absolutely despise the ones who can’t control it
Did all that to the poor defenceless baby and then went on to say that he’s not a violent person.
I could do with a filter option to just not see news stories like this.
Does anyone even proof read these articles/do they actually have an editor?
So often you see things like this:
>He went onto yank his legs and hit him around the heat and later told police he lost his temper when the innocent tot pulled on his beard.
Onto…on to. Hit him around the heat…head?
I used to take pride in what I wrote and how I wrote it for articles etc(though, not so much silly social media comments *cough*). Granted, this wasn’t mainstream tabloid toilet paper, it was tech news/reviews, but y’know
I’m not a violent person, not really ever. But since having kids, seeing stuff like this. What this man did to a baby (toddler), I could escalate to violence quickly.
It’s possible that someone will see to him while he’s inside.
