French film star Depardieu to face trial accused of rape of actress Charlotte Arnould • FRANCE 24

But Anu did not give up. In 2020, she successfully pushed for the investigation to be reopened. She is one of some 20 women who have accused Depadu of inappropriate conduct. In 2023, Depadu denied all allegations against him. In a letter published in French media, he wrote, “Never ever have I abused a woman.” In May this year, he was convicted of sexual assault for groping two women on a film set in 2021.
