It’s so frustrating as a black person born and raised in England, to see how adamant these people are that immigrants are ruining their lives. My grandparents came here during Windrush on invitation to help rebuild this country, they had 5 children here who went to uni and became engineers and business owners and teachers and regular 9-5 employees. Then those 5 kids had kids who are now nurses, teachers, engineers and 9-5 employees. I’m sure these people would still just complain that we’re stealing jobs and degrees. But if you don’t have a job or a degree you 100% get called lazy and entitled, we can’t win!
