A friend of mine made this meal. He said it was popular in Sweden. Is that true?

  1. That looks like bruschetta (?). It’s not unpopular atleast.

  2. They look pretty tasty, so I’m sure they would be popular in Sweden.

Is it Swedish? – absolutely not.

  3. Are you sure it’s not from Schweiz? Because I never saw anything like that before in Sweden.

  4. It looks like they kinda tried to make a sandwich cake. But used maybe mozzarella, bell peppers and rucola instead of the usual stuff. Also possibly foccacia as the base instead. So honestly not sure. But definitely something I could imagine being served as a appetizer or party snack here.

  5. That looks Italian. I mean, give it to me and I’ll eat it. But I’ve never had that exact thing in my life.

  6. That has never before been served in Sweden.

Your friend is a big fat phony!

  7. Definitely looks italian. Like a foccacia appetizer. But I am confused by the orange stuff.

  8. Is the long light brown stuff potatoes or apple? I am Swedish and honestly never seen this in my life.

  9. Swede here. Never seen that dish. Some of them look a little like italian bruschetta?

  10. Is it popular in Sweden? Among a certain income bracket, probably yes.

    Is it Swedish? Nope.

  11. As a real swede from the country, i have no clue what this is, must be some imported “big city” stuff.
    Would still eat it

  12. Italian inspired peach and burata toast. Italian food is popular in Sweden so yeah sure

  13. You need to get an explanation from your friend, because he is very wrong. He’s the wrongest anyone has been in the history of wrongness. Almost.

  14. Looks delicious, but I’m as Swedish as meatballs and I’ve never seen that stuff in my life.

  15. inte fan är det burk skagen och rostat vitt bröd iallafall

  16. Its so popular that I have never seen it served in Sweden. :p

  17. Looks like bruschetta to me. One with burrata and grillad peach and one with tomatoes and arugula.
Definitely not Swedish but absolutely something I can see a Swede preparing as an apetizer

  18. It is not popular enough that I have ever seen it before as a 40+ swede…

  19. It might be popular in some parts of Sweden, but that’s because some parts of Sweden love Mediterranean food.

That looks Mediterranean inspired. The bread, using ruccola&basil, fruits&tomatoes on some kind of cream cheese, balsamico and probably olive oil etc…

  20. Its nothing we do normally, a chef in a expensive italian restaurant in mid Stockholm might tho

  21. Umm.. It’s not untrue, but it’s nowhere near popular now. People eat it. But I wouldn’t go so far as to call it popular

  22. “Duh it’s bruschetta” åh ok men fortfarande, nej 😅

  23. We do like Italian food, but this dish may not be that popular in sweden imo

  24. Looks like Bruschetta, not a Swedish thing and certainly not universally loved in Sweden. But yeah there are some districts/groups where it’s pretty popular.
