Anything/Anyone else the government wants to make miserable?
Friend of mine. Going through legal proceedings to try and stop her little girl’s father from having contact with the girl. He has been convicted of physically abusing them both. The conviction against the child was for assaults he committed on her when she was 2 and 3.
She works two minimum wage jobs. Ridiculous hours but makes next to nothing. Refuses to go on benefits because she wants to support her child herself and is too proud. The girl’s father is a substance-abusing shxthead who refuses to work prefering to spend every day getting fxcked up and playing video games.
She has to pay full legal fees because she has an income.
He gets all legal fees paid by legal aid.

They truly don’t care about anyone, aid that is desperately needed for victims is thrown away, but there always seems to be money to throw at dodgy government contracts for Tory mates and lobbyists.
Disgusting.
If they just denied help to male domestic abuse victims the Guardian & Co wouldn’t care at all or might trumpet it as a victory for the, “true” victims.
