Listen, even before the wave crested and the Home Alone stuff was happening, it was not hard to see how difficult my father was. It was no secret. He was already a monster,” Culkin remembers. “All of a sudden, the fame and the money came, and he became an infamous monster. He was already not a good guy. I think John was looking a little side-eyed, like, ‘Is everything alright over there? You doing good? Good day? Everything’s alright? Everything good at home? Alright.’”

  2. Baby Billy is kind of an asshole so I’m glad John Candy was there for him

  3. As Norm Macdonald said, “I don’t know anyone that doesn’t **love** John Candy.”

  4. I had to be the only third grader who went into a small depression when John Candy passed away. I loved him and I still watch The Great Outdoors and Planes, Trains, and Automobiles with absolute glee ❤️

  5. Macaulay was so lucky to have John Candy in his corner to notice Macaulay’s dad’s abusive behavior. May John Candy RIP, he’s missed.
