Being the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson must not be easy, particularly in the wake of the biography about the two, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York. Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie already had to put up with a lot of scrutiny because of the fact that they’re royalty, but their parents’ respective scandals certainly did not help. And the new book was just the cherry on top of the sundae.
Princess Beatrice, however, has her happy marriage and her family to lean back on. She and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, have Sienna, 3, and Athena, 8 months. Beatrice is also a stepmother to her husband’s 9-year-old son, Christopher Woolf, whom he shares with ex Dara Huang.

One of the couple’s friends, Juliet Angus of The Real Housewives of London fame, told HELLO! in a recent interview, “They’re the sweetest, and they’re adorable.” Not just that, she added that despite their upbringing, she’s gotten to see their less than formal sides. “I love their relationship and how cute and modern they are,” she added. “I love that they’re a blended family — rules don’t have to be such big rules anymore.”
This good news for the couple come months after reports their jobs kept them apart for long periods of time, which could be hard for the couple. “[Spending] a lot of time apart due to work can definitely put a big stain on Princess Beatrice and her husband’s relationship and cause them to become emotionally disconnected,” relationship coach Nicole Moore, the founder & CEO of Love Works Method, told The List.
As non-working royals, both Princess Beatrice and her sister, Princess Eugenie, maintain their own jobs and so do their husbands.
“When couples are apart a lot, it almost always causes their emotional connection to dwindle unless they are steadfast in maintaining a lot of communication when apart.” Moore added. At the time, though, it was just speculation because of the fact that the two were spending a lot of time apart.
However, all these months later, it seems their relationship is still going strong. And though, for a while, it had been speculated that perhaps William would be looking to make Beatrice and her sisters senior royals when he ascended to the throne, that is no longer expected to be the case.
One former royal employee told the Express it was unlikely to happen. “Beatrice has her own career, so I don’t see William making her a senior member of the working royals,” former butler Grant Harrold said. Princess Beatrice, nonetheless, often represents the royal family at official engagements, when required and will likely continue to do so.
She just won’t make it a full-time job. And considering the scrutiny that comes with being a working royal, scrutiny her kids have so far mostly escaped, this might be a good thing. It’s already hard enough having to contend with scandal after scandal coming from your parents.
