The interinstitutional Supervisory Council decided to apply Canada’s international restrictive measures against Russian interference in Moldova. Therefore, the State Tax Service will block, within two days of identification, the funds and economic resources of Irina Vlah, leader of the heart of Moldova party.

“We will not tolerate the national security being trampled underfoot and turned into the toy of Kremlin mouthpieces,” prime minister Dorin Recean said.

According to the prime minister, on the list of natural and legal persons, in respect of whom international restrictive measures are applied and funds were ordered to be blocked, are Evghenia Gutul, Mihai Vlah, Irina Vlah, Iurii Cuznetov, Ilia Uzun, Victor Petrov, Nelli Parutenco, Natalia Parasca, Dumitru Chitoroaga, Dmitri Buimistru, Alexei Lungu, Veaceslav Valico, Victoria Furtuna, Irina Lozovan, Alexandr Nesterovschi, Chiril Guzun, the public Association “People’s Shield” Pobeda/victory.

“Everyone has the obligation to comply with the law, and those who violate it and work in the interest of a foreign state to destabilize the Republic of Moldova will be properly sanctioned, no matter how hard they victimize themselves, in order to obtain electoral score,” the premier said.

Irina Vlah has not yet commented on Dorin Recean’s announcement, although earlier the former bashkan said that his inclusion on Canada’s sanctions list would have been politically influenced, IPN reports.
