The State Tax Service of Ukraine is actively collaborating with experts from the International Monetary Fund to improve tax administration processes. A recent online meeting took place, during which important issues were discussed, such as risk management, reforms in tax and electronic auditing, as well as changes in legislation.

‘We are set for further effective cooperation with international partners. Of course, shoulder to shoulder with the Ministry of Finance. Because all the changes we are currently working on must actually work for businesses, citizens, and the state,’ – stated acting head of the STS Lesia Karnaukh.

The main goal of this cooperation is to enhance the efficiency and transparency of tax administration in Ukraine. The planned reforms should improve the conditions for doing business and ensure the stable operation of the tax system.

Key Aspects of Cooperation

The collaboration of the State Tax Service with the IMF is focused on improving tax administration in Ukraine. Key aspects that will help improve the business climate and ensure transparency in the country’s tax system were discussed.

Now, in times of economic challenges, such initiatives become particularly important. Reforms in the field of taxes can significantly impact the development of domestic business and strengthen entrepreneurs’ trust in the state. Promoting effective tax administration will help not only reduce the tax burden but also ensure stable budget revenues.
