President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that the first joint drone production line is now being launched in Denmark.

Zelenskyy made the statement during a briefing with European Council President António Costa in Zakarpattia, Ukrinform reported on September 5.

“We are now developing co-production with European countries. And the first line has already started in Denmark. At the very least, all agreements have been reached, and it is now being launched. Such production lines will also open in other European countries,” Zelenskyy said.

He emphasized that this is a very important task for Ukraine.

At the same time, Ukraine is expanding its defense partnerships beyond Europe. Ukrainian Ambassador to the Philippines Yuliia Fediv announced that Kyiv and Manila are preparing to sign a memorandum of understanding on defense cooperation as early as October.

Speaking at a forum hosted by the Chamber of Commerce of the Philippine Islands, Fediv confirmed that a high-level Ukrainian delegation, including representatives of the Ministry of Defense, will travel to Manila to meet with Philippine officials.

“The first step is to sign an agreement on defense between Ukraine and the Philippine government to create the legal framework for the next steps,” Fediv explained. “If we sign the MoU this October, then we can move forward with co-production.”

Earlier, Ukraine’s Deputy Chief of Staff Ihor Zhovkva held talks with a Norwegian delegation headed by Arild Eikeland, Director of the Ministry of Defense’s International Security and Operations Policy, focusing on military cooperation and strengthening Ukraine’s defense production.
