Putin says foreign troops in Ukraine would be legitimate targets • FRANCE 24 English

It took Vladimir Putin a few hours to react to pledges made by the coalition of the willing. According to French President Emanuel M, 26 countries out of the group’s 35 have said they would deploy troops by land, sea, or air to help protect Ukraine after a ceasefire or peace is reached. This was the Russian president’s response. So should there be any troops deployed in Ukraine, especially now in the course of the military action, we would treat them as legitimate targets. Vladimir Putin said he saw no reason to deploy foreign troops in Ukraine once peace is signed. He also said that if Ukraine is getting security guarantees, then Russia should get some as well. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Wimir Zalinski held pledges made by the coalition, adding that countries can step up their support to Ukraine before a ceasefire is signed. In the next few weeks, we’ll talk with each country about what exactly they can do. And it’s important that security guarantees start working now during the war, not only after it ends. President Donald Trump has excluded sending US troops to Ukraine, but has mentioned the US providing security guarantees with no details on what they would entail. Responding to journalists on Thursday, Trump said he would hold new discussions with Vladimir Putin

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Friday thousands of foreign troops could be deployed to his country under post-war security guarantees, but Russian leader Vladimir Putin said Moscow would regard them as legitimate targets to attack.

  1. I am Russian and many in my country know truth of this war. This war is unwinnable for Russia and it will be like 1989 times again in my country. Is fuel shortage in Russia makes inflation very bad

  2. Russia's buying back equipment from African nations. I don't think Russia can do anything if they are buying weapons from central africa

  3. Buffer zone peace forces from neighboring slavic speaking countries belarus, poland, necessary to be able to communicate with both sides and give millions of ukrainian refugees in europe confidence to return to ukraine

  4. Russian troops in Ukraine are foreign troops, if president putin does not want foreign troops in Ukraine then He should begin by withdrawing his forces! A nuclear collision between Russia and the west is almost inevitable now and let me remind the proud Russians that there are no winners in a nuclear war! Ukraine does not belong to Putin or his mama! Ukrainians just like Russians deserve to live in peace in there own land of Ukraine but putin is using force to take Ukrainian land and kill Ukrainian people! The road to hell is paved with good intentions and the justice of God will catch up with Vladmir very soon!

  5. The Europeans should tell Putin that by attacking Ukraine he verified that Ukraine needs more than signatures on a piece of paper to guarantee security. They also should suggest that if this war goes on much longer the idea of sending troops to Ukraine is a consideration. If he threatens nukes he should be reminded that Moscow can also be incinerated. The kid gloves approach to Putin is not working. His economy is weakening and Ukraine is taking the war into Russia so now is the time to pressure him and give him more to worry about. So far he has brought in troops from North Korea and has not had to be concerned about Europes patience wearing thin. Too bad TACO not likely to be more assertive. He still wants a Trump Tower in Moscow.

  6. What a surprise Russia has been telling the west not to expand NATO to Ukraine and Georgia and the entire damn thing was NATO open door policy and the so called sovereign right of Ukraine to choose Yeah right Chinese military base in Mexico and Mexico govern right no way in hell would the US allow that. Then why would they expect Russia to allow such enemy forces inches away especially after the UAS left left the medium range nuclear treaty

  7. Pledges were made by the coalition of the willing, and according to French President Emanuel Macron, 26 out of 35 countries would deploy troops by land, air, or sea to help protect Ukraine after a ceasefire or peace is reached. Putin: "Should there be any troops deployed in Ukraine, especially now in the course of the military action, we would treat them as legitimate targets."
Well, isn't that just him threatening again. What he wants is for Ukraine to stand alone, so that if and when he wants to attack again, he has an easier time seizing more territory. But what is needed is a failsafe so that he dares not to attack Ukraine again. A firewall against this Russian arsonist. Putin, by his own accounts, was trained by Yuri Andropov to use terrorism against the West, so it's best to keep a maximalist force in Ukraine to end the temptations of this murderous leader. He will take advantage of any perceived weakness, so stay strong!! With Liberte' Egalite' Fraternite', Slava Ukraini!!! 🇺🇦⭐🇺🇦🗽⚖️🗝️🕊️🌎🇨🇵🇩🇪🇨🇦🇧🇻🇬🇪🇪🇺🇬🇧🇺🇸🇯🇵🇰🇷
