I wish I could speak/read Danish but unfortunately I can't. I know lots of people make fun of the language Danish but I really like it. I really liked visiting Denmark and I hope I visit again. Until then I'll continue making snacks/treats that hits the spot. Tak Danmark!

Ive never actually made this myself but I remember my parents doing it when I was a kid.
Isn’t that basically just Hot’n’sweet?
Actually, do they still even sell that stuff? Haven’t seen a bottle for what feels like 20 years.
We once did something like that at the dorms, we saturated the vodka so much that it was more like liquid sugar really xD it barely flowed out the bottle.
It was great!
This brings tears to my eyes!
Danes who see this, you should be VERY proud of your hotdogs and cocio chocolate milk. Easily the best I’ve had anywhere in the world. My wife who is vegetarian had a hotdog and also agreed
I used that exact same vodka a couple of years back making Tyrkisk Peber. A good choice!
About Tyrkisk Peber: the original Danish version was made by Perelli — a family brand started by Per and Elli. They later sold the name to Fazer, who kept producing it but with a different recipe. The weird twist? Per and Elli still owned the original recipe and kept making it under the low-budget Budget label (part of Salling).
So if you weren’t a fan of Fazer’s sweeter take, you could actually still get the “real” old ones in most Føtex stores.
Not sure if today’s Salling brand still uses the Perelli recipe, since the Budget brand is long gone.
I spend half a day researching this.
Also Faxe Kondi is better than Irn Bru which is probably controversial but fuck em, you do better 🇩🇰
I’m learning Danish now. It’s both pretty easy and really hard. If you really want to learn, you should go for it!
Also my Danes I’m drunk. Is it football season and what is that soap opera about your government called? Good morning danish/nordic friends
Arh the good old “sort svin” – black pig. I have had many many evenings vomiting in the bushes as a youngster in the 90’s do to this stuff – great times. 🤮🤢😂
Ah, sorte svin. Reminds me of being 15 again. I can recommend trying with a bag of *Lossepladsen* as well.
Thank you for reminding me to make this.
How do you make it?
I remember those bottles with licorice candy in the bottom and nothing else. then we’d pour vodka in there and wait impatiently (tasted awful lol)
Hell yeah! Sort Svin was my first hard liquor when I was a wee lad. Good times.
