  1. They changed the recipe ages ago. And possibly again when the sugar tax came in.

  2. I had the same conversation a few weeks ago when I picked up a can on a journey. Taste like red water.

  3. It used to have a satisfying tang, almost like Irn Bru, but not as good. Last time I tried it, it tasted like fizzy sugar water and red dye.

  4. I haven’t seen a can in 20 years, I’d assumed that it has been discontinued.

  5. Its not you, they changed it. I tried some last year and its vile now.

  6. Not had that in years. I’m red I’m red I’m tiger head I’m fizzy fizzy fizzy refresh your head.

  7. They took the red flavouring out. Try any brand of Irish red lemonade, but TK or Nash’s if you can get em. It’s not the same but it’ll scratch an itch.

  8. Yeah, either my taste buds have changed or timer has. It’s nothing like when we used to get it in the glass bottles from the pop man.

  9. I’d forgotten all about Tizer. I had no idea it was still being made.

  10. Went the same way as the beef and tomato pot noodle.

Those things were never supposed to be healthy.

  11. I still miss the original Lilt. The full sugar version, which was around long before it got the Fanta rebrand.

  12. Oh. I had a mars bar a few days ago… it’s not the same as it was… 😩

  13. Then I feel I should advise you to stay away from Angel Delight.

  14. I’d kill for an IRN-BRU Bar right now. It’s been 30 years

  15. Honestly it feels like a different drink entirely. I used to love love love old Tizer as a kid, where it was closer to Irn Bru than what it is now.

That being said I do like ‘new’ Tizer, it’s kinda fruity.

Incidentally does anyone remember Tizer Ice? It was like regular Tizer but it tasted like it was cold. Seemed to completely disappear off the shelves one day, I imagine because it was probably full of not very good chemicals.

  16. If you like that, find some Um BONGO they really F’d that up.
