ICE raid at Hyundai’s $7.6B EV site in Georgia didn’t just halt construction it fractured global confidence. Jobs stalled, contracts destabilized, and foreign investors left reassessing their risk. When immigration enforcement derails industrial growth, it’s not protection it’s economic warfare

Smart move. Trumps forcing job losses not gains. Moron
So now ICE/DHS has the power to obtain warrants that shut down entire industries?
I bet those 450(?) workers were all career criminals and gang members too! MS-13 and Hyundai, name a more iconic duo.
If all workers are legal, they will not heve any problems.
I hate this fucking timeline we’re living in
The people who hire illegal workers should be punished not the workers.
Fuuuuck this admin
Those temporary deputize goons that are getting loans to buy houses will be foreclosing sooner than later
The workers were supposed to be hired locals. That was the promise made before they leveled square miles of forest for this project. Then they brought in foreign workers.
Are they looking for those 11,000 votes in this Georgia plant?
Georgia is, *was*, doing exceptionally well economically, this has thrown gravel into their success and will seriously jeopardize the Republican midterms.
Hyundai is a major company. Shouldn’t their HR department have been on top of people’s employment eligibility?
Lies
Seriously, I believe the plan is to break everything and drive as many people into poverty and make a new ruling class.
We need to bring manufacturing back to America!
5 minuts later…
Let’s raid and destroy manufacturing in America!
Hyundai should shut all their plants down. Stop production and cancel all internal orders. They sell a lot of cars in the USA. The knock on is dealerships close maintenance facilities close. There need to be a higher level of retaliatory action.
Brown shirts at work.
It will just get worse from here.
There are many things I wish upon ICE, but reddit won’t let me say them here
Hyundai should just close it all down….
Trump using ICE to disrupt the clean energy economy that he despises?
Why doesn’t Hyundai comply with following employment laws? Shame on the shareholder for not doing their due diligence when investing in a company.
I used to work in the U.S. automotive industry and here’s something most people don’t realize.
When companies like Hyundai, Toyota, BMW, or Mercedes open plants in the U.S., they bring in specialists from headquarters in Korea, Japan, or Germany.
These specialists are not here to take jobs away. They are here to implement the systems, train the local teams, and once the facility can run on its own, they usually move back home.
And these are not just any employees. These are their best people. The ones with the most expertise in their field.
So when someone here didn’t get hired and went to complain, that is exactly why they were not hired. They just were not ready yet.
Now Hyundai is probably furious. Their launch is delayed, and on top of that, all of their top experts are tied up and detained. In automotive, every single hour counts.
And here’s the bigger issue. Leaders talk about bringing jobs back to America. But when companies actually try, and the U.S. arrests the very people sent to make it possible, it makes executives think twice about investing here.
It’s a stupid move by the government… and it could cost us thousands of jobs.
