  1. It would be beyond bizarre to me if party members started voting for opposition candidates to go against their own party’s, tbh.

  2. Well yeah… they have their own candidate, no point in them introducing competitors.

  3. Fine Gaels party system is very top down. The sitting tds get more voting power then party members making it hard to get grassroots issues through. 

    This is just more control from a weak leader. 

    Fianna Fail in contrast are allowed to nominate anyone. 

  4. Can’t see anyone voting for Heather, to he honest. I can see a lot of FG voters in the east half of the country voting for Gavin.

  5. Goes to show you how much of a stitch up the process is, all designed to facilitate incumbents

  6. Having to ban says a lot about the buy in they have for Humphrey
