Princess Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, are bidding farewell to their idyllic Cotswolds retreat as the summer season draws to a close.
Alongside their daughter Sienna, Beatrice’s stepson Wolfie, and little Athena, the couple have been enjoying the serenity of their countryside home but now it’s time to return to city life in London.
The family are fortunate to split their time between two residences: accommodation within the historic walls of St James’s Palace and their six-bedroom converted farmhouse in the Cotswolds, valued at £3.5 million.
The rural hideaway, complete with sweeping gardens, a tennis court and an outdoor swimming pool, has offered the royals the perfect escape from their busy London routines.
Edoardo confirmed in an interview with The Times earlier this year, the family is firmly based in London during school terms to ensure stability for the children.
Their country retreat also kept him close to his mother, Nikki Williams-Ellis, who lives nearby in Oxfordshire making the farmhousean ideal base for family life.
Now, with the school term in full swing, the couple are set to swap rolling countryside views for the bustle of London, embracing once more the rhythm of city living.
It’s thought that Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi also made the annual pilgrimage to Scotland this summer, joining other royals at Balmoral Castle.
The Highland estate has long been a treasured retreat for the royal family, offering fresh air, rugged scenery and cherished traditions.
Prince William has fondly reflected on his own memories there, recalling, “My childhood was full of holidays having fun in the fresh air, swimming in lochs, family barbecues with my grandfather in command and, yes, the odd midge.
George, Charlotte and Louis are already aware of how dear Scotland is to both of us, and they’re beginning to create their own cherished memories there, too.”
While Beatrice and Edoardo’s countryside base in the Cotswolds remains private, glimpses of their London residence have occasionally been revealed during video calls.
