Bondi reinstates limits on asylum for domestic violence survivors

U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi last week shut the door on women and family members who claim to be victims of domestic violence in their home countries and seek safety and asylum in the U.S.

In two rulings, Bondi revived instructions issued during the first Donald Trump presidential administration telling immigration judges that domestic violence asylum petitions “generally” should be rejected.
