Has anybody watched the TV show, Occupied, it ran from 2015 to 2020? It’s about a Russian invasion of Norway.

  1. I have. It’s good. I watched it during the summer of 22. While some of it is unrealistic they 100% nail the way Russian officials act. The threats, the patronizing, the barbarity. It’s all so accurate.

  2. I did, as eastern European I like how realistically everything was portrayed.

  3. So realistic that apparently the Russian embassy complained! The premise is great and the suspense is high.

  4. It’s very good. The idea came from Jo Nesbø.

  5. Didn’t realize there were more seasons after the first one!! I loved that season and now I know there is more I want to go back and watch it

  6. I have, it was excellent! Very believable (except maybe the first episode that sets the stage) but really good.
    I’d recommend!

  7. This is an excellently acted series and, having worked and lived in and around both regions, it has all the hallmarks of what could so easily be a reality.

Sit back and let yourself be engulfed by it.

    We thoroughly enjoyed it.

  8. If you liked that and haven’t already seen it, check out “The Eastern Gate”, about polish intelligence operating in Belarus and Russia

  9. I’ve read reviews, but never been able to find a place to watch it, although I’d like to.

  10. I watched half of the first season, based on the interesting premise, but ultimately found it kind of boring. It focused too much on individuals and individual situations – people talking in rooms – and didn’t seem to capture what I think an actual occupation would mean to real people.

  11. Never heard of it, but it’s now on my watch list. Thank you!
