Sad to see one of the few actual working class MPs lose their government position over this. But the trap is set, and it’s going to snap over and over again on the legs of the countless Tory and Reform MPs who’ve done the same, if not worse.

I feel proper bad for her. She followed advice and paid stamp duty (just at the wrong rate). Dealing with trusts is complex I imagine. She fucked up, yes, but don’t think it’s fair on her or good for the country to drag her over the coals. This meme should fuck off.

Given the circumstances and her position in the cabinet, it’s obvious she had to go – even though we’re all massively aware she’s not the worst offender by a wide margin.
