  1. literally trying to pay them peanuts. i think 12 cents is like half a peanut

  2. Air Canada should just pay their flight attendants for every hour they’re required to be at work.

It’s crazy that they’re not actually being paid until the plane takes off, despite being at work for sometimes hours beforehand.

  3. Only 99.1 percent voted against it, so it can’t be that bad. Right. Power to you flight attendants, you deserve to be paid at least minimum wage for starting and ,as an integral member of team responsible for people’s safety while travelling 600KPH at 30000ft, I would hope more. Also the whole working while not being paid because the plane isn’t in the air is also crap.

  4. Air Canada is one of the worst airlines I’ve ever been on and their ‘customer service’ is like dealing with the worst DMV you’ve ever been at, like these mutherfuckers in Toronto literally take a perverse pleasure in your travel day being fucked due to their mass incompetence.

  5. “99.1 per cent of members rejected the proposal”

Well that’s a landslide of a vote that sends a message

  6. If AC pulls this same stuff around Christmas, I swear I won’t ever fly AC again. Aeroplan be damned.

  7. Very telling that during a time we’re all supposed to be spending Canadian, a Canadian company doesn’t even want to pay their Canadian employees

  8. Start paying the workers and stop worrying about the investors.

  9. Kinda expected this, I was surprised that the Union Reps accepted a starting 50% ground pay, with increases for years of service up to 70%.

Who would work for less than 100% pay in any job?!

  10. What do they actually do? Save lives? Or serve drinks? So Paramedics and Nurses earn less but those serving peanuts in the air make a killing???

Let’s put this into perspective. What education do flight attendants have to warrant asking for these numbers?

  11. As soon as they arrive at the airport and check into their crew area, they should start being paid. That’s fair.

  12. If every company did this they would cry bloody murder to our government ,
It happens with a lot of jobs you gotta be there log in or get ready to work if they paid us we would get a half hour each day extra but no that’s our responsibility
Like fuck off just pay workers what they deserve

  13. Flight attendant training runs from 3 to 8 weeks approximately which includes safety protocols and everything they learn

They don’t hold or earn degrees or attend university for four years to become a flight attendant

So spare me the BS of having the salary that goes with holding a Degree or a Masters of something

    This is BS

  14. Didn’t these fuckers just settle? Like, what the hell is going on?

  15. I absolutely hate that they started charging 100$ for the 2nd baggage. Now a lot of airlines charge for that as well.
