I don’t know; my mother in law passed away a couple years ago and I remember her saying before she passed that she was happy she wouldn’t be here to see the bullshit the world was going to throw at us in the future and now I’m thinking, as was usual with her mean but smart ass, that she was totally right.
So the federal government is now going waging war against American cities – predominantly cities with black mayors in blue states. If I remember correctly, Trump was elected to be president of all of the United States; not just president of red state America. Ultimately this isn’t about crime at all. Memphis, Nashville, Houston and Kansas City have high crime rates, but not a peep about calling for a military occupation. This is about intimidating protesters, harassing anyone non-white, and making sure the American people know who’s boss. The greatest irony here is that Republicans used to cry “states rights” at the flimsiest suggestion of government overreach by a democratic administration. Now, with the feds literally invading blue cities, the long-held Republican platform of small government, low taxes and states rights has been forgotten. Just more proof that Trumpism is neither conservative nor republican.
