  1. I was told by a spark about a year ago they are illegal now, didn’t go in to detail or ask questions though am doing google searches just finds parts for them. *Shrug* ,hope it’s not a rental.

  2. I particularly like how the new part with the circuit breakers still has an older fuse in it. You should definitely look at switching this out but be prepared for the can of worms that it may open. It’s likely that the rest of the house may need to be checked over and at least part if not completely rewired if it’s all as old as this.

  3. This reminds me of the “Mom and Pop” episode of Seinfeld!

    Hey, what’s with your ceiling?

What? You got wires sticking out every which way. It looks dangerous. You should call an electrician.

You know, in the 48 years we’ve been here… I don’t think we’ve ever called an electrician.

Well, you should. This place could blow any minute.

Boss. Four thousand dollars! We can’t afford that.

Well, you have to do something about it… because it’s in violation of the building code. Otherwise, they’re gonna close you up.

Supposing we can’t pay for it?

Then I have to report you. Otherwise, I lose my license. Sorry.

Forty-eight years, Mom. And now we have to close. All because of that idiot and his bloody nose.

Afternoon, Mom. Afternoon, Pop. You know you got a crack in the sidewalk? You ought to get that fixed.
