I’m about as climate change focussed as Jeremy Clarkson, however I do agree with this. Would love to get to a stage where the UK is not involved in the rest of the worlds problems.
This is just madness.
NATO was literally formed with a focus on building peace, and it coincided with the longest period of peace Europe has ever experienced.
I swear every anti-NATO argument is based on hippie gut feels.

Some their domestic policies are actually sensible, but as much as I hate that we live in a world with nuclear weapons they are daft if they think there is any realistic prospect of proliferation in our life times at this point
Whats gone on with Ukraine has set that idea back decades at least.. considering one of the countries that was supposed to protect them after giving up the soviet era arsenal they found themselves with, is trying to annex them bit by bit
If they think NATO is the problem, why wait for the Ukraine war to be over before leaving it? Do they think this will be the war to end all wars™?

With what influence? We’re at the point where the UK not being the UK is a viable future. NATO exists to solve issues that could have resulted in war(or that may just be the UN i’m thinking of) and helps to maintain peace, aid with disasters. The UK isn’t even willing to tackle the fucking energy companies that cranked up the prices twice so far, this year. We can’t do jackshit.
It was most stupid decision to leave EU, not leaving Nato as well.

Tankie nonsense please decouple from leftwing politics. I just want strong unions, decent wages, better environmental practices, and a decent safety net. I don’t want this nonsense intertwined.
I’ll vote for the Green party on May 5th but personally, I think leaving NATO is nonsense, but they are right on a lot of other key issues that the main parties plan to address is just kick down the road indefinitely until we’re all dead. I think Climate Change will get us long before the Russians arrive.
