MALTA, Ny. (WNYT)- The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office says a Malta man is accused of torturing and injuring a black Labrador Retriever.
69-year-old Eugene Willis faces charges of overdriving, torturing and injuring animals, and failure to provide sustenance.
This comes after authorities say Willis kicked a Black lab to its rear quarters, resulting in bruising and difficulty voiding or defecating.
The animal, as well as a brown Labrador Retriever also at the residence, were seized by the Malta animal control officer, and transported to the Saratoga County Animal Shelter — where they were safely housed and afforded appropriate medical treatment.
Willis was released on an appearance ticket, pending further court proceedings in the Malta Town Court.
