1. They will start walking with surgical mask instead.

2. It’s going against their ideas of freedom of expression and freedom of speech, bit hypocritical. But then when has that ever stopped them.

3. It’s crazy how much the Overton window has moved in a year.

   This shift could never have happened with the Tories in power.

4. It’s a very public demonstration of women being oppressed. It’s not a situation that can be fixed by a simple ban, but a ban wouldn’t hurt to make it clear it is not tolerable in this country.

5. Got to agree with him. He is clear that it’s not just about the anti-woman burka/niqab and similar face coverings, but also about people wearing other full face coverings to hide their ID.

8. It’s fascinating observing how the burka ban discussion in the 2000s was led by the left, and now many of them are deeply against it.

   It’s almost as if they hold no fundamental political philosophical positions and are simply virtue signalling reactionaries.
