The people who are always talking about needing guns to protect themselves against government tyranny are exactly the people I expected to sit back and cheer when the government turned tyrannical.
Mostly because their definition of tyranny was always described in vague terms of the government forcing them to share bathrooms with trans people, making them fly a rainbow flag, jailing them for going to church, not allowing them to fly the American flag, and armed military coming to take their gas stoves.
The 2A people are just gun nuts and only care if it affects guns.

What many of the so-called 2nd-amendment adherents don’t understand, is once that one exception is made, and no one stands up, is further exceptions will happen and suddenly, they too, have been disarmed.
I’m looking forward to seeing the ticker tape parades for all of those brave well regulated militia 2A supporters who defended the US population from tyranny!

Why do you think the National Guard is deploying in LA, DC, and Chicago first? Those places have been attacking the 2A for decades. Can’t wait to see all the Chicagoans line up to get a FOID card and be told it’ll take months to approve.

They may be quiet now but at some point the authoritarian government will have to come for their guns. They will scream and holler but no one will listen because their silence during all of this.
