UK immediately covered up new Banksy art, commenting on the arrest of peaceful protest. Would be a shame if it was shown everywhere

  1. The only ‘two tier’ justice in the UK is grannies and priests getting arrested for silently holding placards stating ” I oppose genocide, I stand with Palestine Action”, while far right thugs get free leave to smash up shops, burn down hotels and terrorise innocent people.

  2. The officer on the phone: ” Guys our pensions are set. Get everyone here. Bring all the tools!”

  3. Probably because that is vandalism. If you spraypainted this onto your own house, I doubt that much would happen.

I didn’t say ANYTHING about the message of the graffiti, so don’t act like I’m against or for it.

  4. It’s being removed because it’s on the royal courts of justice – grade 1 listed building in central London which as you can see is generally kept graffiti free.

  5. The painting process must be soooo quick. Even in the dead of night, police would be there in a flash

  6. They cleaned it off because it’s on the side of a public building, not because anybody is afraid of the “message” – which is muddled since judges just have to enforce the laws they’re given.

Politicians make the laws that people object to.

To suggest otherwise is -at best- misguided. At worst it’s irresponsible.

As for the childishly threatening “*would be a shame*” part… I bet it feels great to feel like you’re passing around contraband leaflets during a revolution, but that really isn’t the case…

  7. Who cares? This art is just performative whining. Wonder why he did not say anything about UK censorship before the Palestine situation.

  8. The whole story: Palestine Action were proscribed a terrorist group, after activists vandalised planes at a military base.

Not exactly peaceful, and therefore, worthy of arrest for associating with that group

If you care about Palestine, you don’t have to join those mogs

  9. Everyone kicks up a storm when anyone removes a Banksy. If you spray paint your stencils on the side of my property, it’s going, regardless of its social commentary.

  10. Banksy aggressively states popular and non controversial opinions. “Drinking water is a good thing not a bad thing!”

  11. Erm, the whole of the UK removed it then did they. Stupid comment

  12. Remind me what the Bobbies are up to outside being like in 1984, V for Vendetta and Farenheit 451 ?

  13. Need to paint this on the supreme court building in washington dc

  14. I mean it’s graffiti….

You can’t really complain about it being removed

    Famous ‘artist’ or not

  15. If this was in America, the cops would just shoot the paint off.

  16. I hope all the people saying “it’s covered because it’s illegal graffiti” enjoy the taste of boot leather
