  1. > Michael Caine is eyeing a return to acting with a sequel to “The Last Witch Hunter” at Lionsgate. The 92-year-old screen legend is set to come out of retirement for the feature, which will also see Vin Diesel return to headline. The sequel is being fast-tracked through development at Lionsgate and Diesel’s production banner One Race Films, Variety has confirmed.

    > Though a deal for Caine hasn’t been finalized, the actor is expected to reprise his role from the 2015 original “Last Witch Hunter.” Caine played Dolan, a priest who assists Diesel’s warrior Kaulder as he fights to stop a plague propagated by a witch queen.

  2. I always assumed it would take a project as prestigious as this to tempt the great man out of retirement.

  3. He wants to eliminate Sean Connery from “Worst Final Movie” consideration. Pure ego.

  4. Finally! I really liked the Last Witch Hunter. Hope this will also be good.

  5. Its funny that the most notable thing to ever come out of this property was the rather popular 3rd party Blood Hunter class for 5th Edition D&D.

  6. “You were awnly saposed ta blow tha bladdy broom aff!!!!”

  7. Michael Caine has spoken at length about his friendship with Vin Diesel, and I imagine him taking this project on is related to that. What a weird, odd couple. But I’m here for it.

  8. Forgot he was in the first one, totally though Vin was strolling him in a wheelchair for Fast 11. Another Witchhunter was not something I expected, but Vin always finds away to bring his old movie characters back.

  9. Fuck I didn’t know he was THAT old. God bless bro!

  10. Well, at least, he’s not coming out of retirement for Blame It on Rio 2…

  11. Everyone making jokes about money but it’s cool that Vin is letting his friend keep working.
I imagine most people don’t want to work with him because he’s so old but I imagine every once in a while he wants to get out and work.

Now this is his chance. Who cares if it’s not going to be an Oscar worthy script. He’s going to do what he loves one more time and this is an interest concept. The first one was pretty cool.

  12. Don’t do it Michael. Stay retired and protect your legacy!

  13. how does vin deisel have the clout to get money put into sequels to movies no one saw … i mean i liked the last witch hunter so i’m actually glad he’s doing it

  14. Some quote from some celebrity who made a shitty movie went along the lines of “I never watched the movie but the house it bought is quite nice”

  15. He is renowned for doing any film that pays. He had a tough upbringing and appreciates money on the hip. I hope he has fun.

  16. The first one was a fun movie that I’ve put on in the background a few times.

  17. Why would he come out of retirement and sully his name by appearing in a garbage b movie?
