I dont get why people think Signal is safer over Whattsapp or other apps. Yes, it doesnt save your metadata like other do… but that doesnt mean goverments cant know what you are doing or saying.

Wikileaks showed in 2017, that the NSA had already toos to hack apps like Signal and Whattapp if they ever wanted. They can bypass the encryption of whattsapp, signall, telegram,… (https://wikileaks.org/ciav7p1/) the same way the TOR project was hacked by the NSA. Snowden always claimed it was the ultimate safeheaven against the NSA and looked what happened.
Why does nobody ask why Signals founder Moxie Marlinspike of “Open Whisper Systems” was payed over 3 million $ by the NSA?
You have to give Signal your phonenumber and acces to your phonebook. How long does it take google to connect that number to your facebookaccount and other info you have stored on their servers?
Apps like these give people the false idea of internetsafety. Its gives gouverments a place to hide their stuff and let normal people the idea they are safe from harm, eventhough the gouverment is still tracking you.

Ik gebruik zelf deze App niet, maar het is met onzin zoals dit dat we beetje bij beetje onze vrijheid verliezen. Schrikwekkend gewoon dat ze echt alles willen kunnen inzien. Dit allemaal onder het mom van veiligheid.
