Germany’s ADAC, Europe’s largest motoring association, asked its 21 million members on Wednesday to help reduce the country’s reliance on oil imports from Russia by driving less.
In an open letter posted on its website, which has a Ukrainian flag at its top, the association also called on members to drive more slowly to help reduce fuel consumption by up to 20%.
Place a ban on engines larger that 1.5l in new cars in the EU. Also, only three cilinders should be allowed. I’d love to see a Ferrari with three or four turbos to compensate.
Or just tell them to buy VW ID.3/ID.4 or Dacia Spring if you’re poor.
It’s unbelievable that we still don’t manage to implement a speed limit, even with a war and a global climate crisis going on
