The Met seems absolutely determined to disgrace itself a little more each day.
Just from a PR perspective, every time that they further challenge the ruling, they bring the story back. Even if they were technically right as they hope to prove, it was a bad look for the Met and keep reminding people of it doesn’t help their image at all.
They’ve got new powers to shove protestors around. Just being greedy.
One thing I would like to say is that it does feel like this is getting way more attention than anyother case like this as she’s better off. It just makes me wonder how the police treat prostitutes and other high risk women because I’ve worked in the industry and I’ve met people who literally believe stalking and death threats are justified as we are immoral and diseased (I’m less likely carry an STD than any random hook up because I get regular tests and anyone who is Ill or unhygienic gets shown the door)
