Data from Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) indicates a 7.7% increase in trading volume on Monday’s electricity market, reaching approximately 2.13 billion liras compared to Sunday.
The arithmetic and weighted average prices on the day-ahead spot market were calculated at 3,067.54 liras and 3,071.88 liras per megawatt-hour, respectively.
For Monday, the highest electricity price stood at 3,395 liras per megawatt-hour during 8 a.m., 9 a.m., 7 p.m., and 8 p.m. local time (0500, 0600, 1600, 1700 GMT). Meanwhile, the lowest rate matched Tuesday’s noon figure at 1,643.60 liras.
The US dollar exchange rate was noted at 41.25 liras at 2:33 p.m. local time (1133 GMT) on Monday.
