Is this really the best diplomat Ukraine has for Germany? I get that emotions run high when a war happens in your country, but the statements of this guy are getting ridiculous. That’s not how a diplomat should be acting.
Lol, as a former diplomat I must say Ukrainian ambassadors rock…
Jesus, what is he thinking? He needs to go, this is beyond embarrassing.
Olaf offended for being called offended liver sausage
Lmao, what does that even mean?
He’s got an aggressive tone, that isn’t well received overall if you trust media and comments. But I don’t know…At first I was sympathetic towards him but now he seems a bit too salty.
Although I can’t shake it off he has all reason to be as he is. War is still not resolved, Russia still says Ukraine has no right to exist, etc. I would be filled with passion too.
Ukraine told the People of Germany: You’re not welcome here. I don’t like Scholz but I can understand his decision.
And Switzerland is the clog point regarding ammunition.
If this is how Ukrainian politicians act we should reconsider their EU bid. We don’t need another Orban or Trump in the EU.
Scholz crying for his Putin loving party member acting president not being invited for a PR and hands washing tour to Kyiv.
While Scholzs Financial Minister told said Ambassador “no need for weapons to Ukraine, your country will be gone in 2 days anyway”.
Saying someone is or acts like an “offended liver sausage” (german: beleidigte Leberwurst) is just a more colorful way to say someone is “butthurt”.
It is a pretty common german expression and not at all shocking. Rather just Uncommonly colorful language in political circles.
He missed some classes in the “Ambassador school.”
No worries, I hear the butcher’s shop is looking for a worker, and he will fit right in.
Not changing the stance or aid one bit and having the foreign minister go to Kyiv instead of Scholz is pretty much the most mild reaction they could have gotten already…not sure what else they expect.
I feel like it could be an option at a hot dog stand 😀 One Beleidigte Leberwurst – hot spicy sausage with some sour toppings – “so hot it makes your butt hurt” or “as sour as your soul”.
Do Germans like my hot dog and Leberwurst?
I’m all for Ukraine but it’s REALLY getting annoying that this guy constantly shits on us.
Germany did a complete 180 turn over the last weeks and sends Ukraine billions of €, wants to send heavy weapons, send normal weapons, cut back on russian dependency, is ready to block russian oil, etc. and the only thing this dude does is insult us over and over.
Well, even though I think Scholz should be replaced with Merz, I don’t think this sort of language is helpful to the Ukrainian cause.
das ist er selbst, nicht frischer Spinat.
And this is what you get when you get when you brand a corrupt country as the defender of the free world !
That is an insult to liver sausage:)
Dear fellow Germans,
try and don’t get angered so much. It doesn’t help anybody and a “beleidigte Leberwurst” is a rather mildly infuriating insult.
“Hausmacher Leberwurst” is even very delicious, so personally I take that with a smile and a good think regarding the last “Schnidde mit Lebberwurschd”.
Cheers!
>Steinmeier actually wanted to travel to Kyiv in mid-April together with the heads of state of Poland, Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania, but received a rejection at short notice.
This wasn’t the right event for Steinmeier. This was an event for Ukraine’s friends.
I am sure Ukrainians would have been happy to invite him at a different time to a tour in Bucha, to show what following his “lol, just surrender and there will be peace” plan looks like in reality.
Melnyk is one of these guys….
I understand that his country is under attack, but he has to learn decency.
It’s always a smart move to offend the people who are trying to help you. /s.
That’s just his tactic, basically bullying Germany into action.
He even kind of admitted in an article.
I don’t know if it’s the right approach though.
Don’t bite the hand that’s feeding you.
Did he say that or use the German phrase beleidigte Leberwurst?
Melnyk is my hero.
Incredible that the Germans basically have zero pride and ready to take every insult from a tin pot country.
I have reached a point where I want this guy to leave his position as Ambassador to Germany. Is he honestly thinking that he will get a positive result from insulting the chancellor or is he trying to damage Ukrainian-German relations?

I am convinced that will help a lot!

Ah, yet another insufferable Ukrainian official.
*chuckles in german*
