Zelensky shares tragic update after “savage” Russian strike

1. My latest: Ukrainian President [Volodymyr Zelensky](https://www.newsweek.com/topic/volodymyr-zelensky) said more than 20 people were killed in a “brutally savage” Russian airstrike on Yarova in Donetsk at a place where pensions were being handed out.

2. After Trump became president, Putin has become emboldened to carry out strikes against civilians at a whole new level because he knows Trump will never retaliate.

4. This shows once again how vulnerable civilian infrastructure remains. Such attacks not only cause physical damage, but also aim to undermine morale and create an atmosphere of fear. Unfortunately, it is civilians who most often become hostages to this strategy.

13. He must have an amazing shield around him as protection. Even his urine and feces removed after meeting in Alaska. To have to live such a paranoid life must be draining. Almost impossible to penetrate that shield, something will take him out in the long run. Too bad innocent people have to die before that celebration.

16. “More than 20 people were killed. There are no words…” when will the world wake up and realise Russia won’t stop until someone forces them too. It’s been 4 years now of half measures.

17. Just reminding everyone that for most parts of this war Russia has been double tapping civil infrastructure. So they bombed the same target twice in quick succession. This strats aim is to hit first responders, medics and violates the Geneva convention.
