In accordance to [this map](https://jakubmarian.com/a-study-reveals-how-many-europeans-wash-their-hands-with-soap/) and [this paper](https://www.researchgate.net/publication/340050986_The_Impact_of_Cross-Cultural_Differences_in_Handwashing_Patterns_on_the_COVID-19_Outbreak_Magnitude), that are based on [a survey of WIN/Gallup](https://www.bva-group.com/sondages/les-francais-et-le-savonnage-des-mains-apres-etre-alle-aux-toilettes/), in Belgium, 60% of people wash their hands after using the toilet.

What do you think about that results? And just to contrast it, does people in Belgium wash their hands after using the toilet?

  1. If you just take a look at the amount of trash on the street, the amount of people spitting in public, and the likes, I would expect it to be MUCH lower.

  2. My privates are cleaner than the surfaces in a public restroom, so it would just be counterproductive

Also, there will be a massive bias due to self-reporting here, similar to how “how big is your salary” posts here don’t reflect reality very well

  3. For those of you who don’t wash their hands after using the toilet irrespective if it’s a #1, 2# or an abortive mission ….. ewwwww WT actual F

  4. The results are frightening, that’s why I syopped shaking hands at work way before covid, ever dince I saw more people than I’d care to admit leaving the toilets without even looking at the sink or soap.

  5. Why should you wash your hands after #1? I clean my dick in the shower every morning, it doesn’t get dirty by just sitting in my pants.

  6. I used to work in a cafe where I had line of sight of the lavabo in the toilets from behind the bar, because of poorly installed one-way glass. I’d say that maybe 15% puts water on their hands every time. A bit more for women than for men, but not as much as you’d expect, a lot more when people know someone can see them, like maybe 1/3.

  7. Sure. Washing my hands. And in public rest rooms cursing at the taps that need to be closed and the exit doors that need to be opened with hands. Thinking about the 40% or so that did it with unwashed hands…
