Meanwhile the BBC brainwashing us with partygate etc…
Something need to change in this world and it’s up to each one of us to do it.
Civil disobedience until we get better wages and a government/health system that really works for us!!!!
I’m so depressed with this bullshit, toxic, corrupt, piece of shit government. Can’t do a goddamn thing about them, either. And they know it. And this is furthers that grip.

Human rights soon to be evaporated under Tory rule. We have nobody to blame but ourselves and our inaction.
I joined amnesty some years ago, and while I suspected there might be a time they would be opposing a UK government, I never thought it would be so soon.
We’re totally fucked. Lunatics with unchecked power, with no way of removing them now. Time to say it straight, rather than mincing words, people who voted Conservatives, you’re literally doing the same thing Germany did in 1933. You’ve got your Furher in power, now enjoy the consequences…
They have also managed to get a bill past which allows them control over the previously independent Electoral Commission. So now we can’t protest, and we can’t vote them out because the commission will change the goalposts to ensure Conservatives remain in power.
JFK said it pretty concisely when he said: “Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.”
Never though I’d see the UK becoming a dictatorship so quickly.
I’m guessing that Online Censorship Bill will be next…
The government literally out here essentially banning public assembly and protest, and the only article I’ve heard about it all day is from this Reddit post because everyone’s too busy with partygate to give a shit about this blatant violation of human rights.
Wtf
Closer and closer, step by step we are heading towards an authoritarian government that will surround itself with money grabbing yes men who will help it pass more bills like this one that will bleed democracy dry until there is nothing left.
What I’d like to see would be a silent protest against this purely for how utterly unsettling it would be to see thousands of angry people marching in complete silence and to lean into the noise restrictions to make a statement about how authoritarian it is.
This is why I voted against Brexit, as I could see this shit coming.
something tells me when people who dont usually protest will go out there, getting arrested will be a minor thing
The end of freedoms of any sort in U.K. is fast approaching total rule is on the rise the March of the Right is apron us. With throw backs to feudal days like Rees-Mogg and corporate puppets like Johnson with his neo nazi Lieutenants we the British are in for some very dark days.
If millions of people take to the streets they can’t arrest everyone. They want to keep people afraid. Everyone I know, young and old, rich and poor, is sick of these Draconian cunts. They’re supposed to work for us.
Time for a good old fashioned revolution.
There were Brits in the bed
And the little PM said,
“Roll over! Roll over!”
So they all rolled over and one fell out and so on and so on, until no one has any more rights and if you try to complain, we’ll make that illegal, too. Got it? Now shut your mouth.
I’m not British and I won’t stay here forever, but damn, I feel bad for you slaves. Soon you will all be a property of your local Lord in the Neo-Feudalism they are about to create.
Can’t wait for all the people who thought wearing a mask was an erosion of their freedom to speak up and give as much energy to this.
Protesting is essentially illegal now if anyone can hear you and doesn’t like it.
The UK will slip quite a way down the various freedom indices thanks to this. I wonder if it will fall below the US?
I’ve always understood the argument that you don’t want the death penalty for certain crimes as it makes the perpetrator more likely to kill the victim/witness; by the same logic does this make peaceful protestors more likely to resort to violent riot?
Hurray. Who needs civil liberties anyway when we can be ruled forever instead by corrupt authoritarian toffs?
We desperately need a constitution. A party with 42% popular vote share should not be able to take away our basic rights, commandeer our electoral watchdog and change our election system. This is not democracy, there is no popular mandate for these acts.
“significant restrictions on the basic right to peacefully protest”
Guess we’ll have no choice to just not peacefully protest!
Fuck ‘em the facist cunts!
Honestly, if I could I would pack up and move to another country. Don’t exactly know where but there must be places better than here.
Tired of the corruption of power. And also the electorate that seem to be asleep.
I’m in my 50’s by the way and I despair for the youth of this country. I look at my kids and grandkids and pray they have a better future. I vote for the future, even if that’s not in my best interest. I want the best for the next generations who I hope will lead us better than this shower of shit!!!!
Surprised they didn’t slip “watching porn is now legal in the Houses of Parliament” into this new bill…
Fuck this government, fuck the lord’s and any apologists for this shit
Just the Tories getting ready for the protests associated with imminent and inevitable food shortages, fuel shortages, hyper inflation, environmental and societal collapse etc etc etc
Ah fuck, I thought that thing got kicked in the head ages ago. I didn’t even know it was being voted on again.
Got distracted by Ukraine, inflation, and the rapid decline of civilisation.
So many of you are going to leave the UK over this new law apparently?
