A woman in Malta is accused of lying about an aggressive pit bull, when she surrendered it.
The Saratoga County Sheriff’s office said Ashley Ross, 38, claimed the female pit bull hadn’t bitten anyone in the past 10 days.
Investigators later learned the dog bit a male pit bull at her home and another person, they said.
Ross is also accused of not getting the injured dog proper treatment.
She was charged with falsifying business records and failure to provide sustenance, and released pending a future court appearance.
The injured dog was seized and taken to an animal shelter.
