Gas leak reported in College Station

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – A gas leak was reported in College Station on Tuesday evening, prompting a road closure.

Several residents reported a “natural gas smell” to KBTX, as well as road closures. Police confirmed that the College Station Fire Department (CSFD) responded to work on the gas leak.

In response, all of Holleman Drive from Texas Avenue to Anderson Street was closed off for about an hour.

CSFD received assistance from ATMOS Energy.

The roadway has since been reopened.

@cstxfire is currently investigating a natural gas leak in the 1700 block of Holleman Dr \n\nCurrently Holleman Dr is shut down from Texas Ave. S to Anderson. \n\nPlease find an alternate route and drive safely.
