Lijkt me nu wel logisch om 65+-ers meer te laten betalen.
The youth ticket is a fixed price, whereas the standard ticket can be cheaper depending on the distance.
Youth ticket is a fixed €6.60 whatever the distance, here it’s too short to be worth it. (Even a Youth Multi at €53* for 10 trips wouldn’t be worth (*price on the app, €55 otherwise)
That said if you’re making the round trip on a week-end a week-end ticket will be better
Sadly enough prices at the NMBS make no sense at all.
For a programmer, it would take around 5 minutes and 10 lines of code to adapt this so that the youth / senior ticket is the same price as the standard ticket if that one is cheaper.
Either it’s on purpose or they are all idiots working there. I’m guessing both.
Edit: make that 2 lines:
if $senior_ticket > $standard_ticket then $senior_ticket = $standard_ticket
if $youth_ticket > $standard_ticket then $youth_ticket = $standard_ticket
Can someone tell me where you can buy the weekend ticket on the new app?

I have bought the Youth Ticket way too many times when the normal price would have been the cheaper option. There is no way that it is difficult for the NMBS to change this, especially when underage ‘kids’ or seniors buy these tickets… Especially for these groups it should be straightforward. Shame on the NMBS.
