At some point you have to wonder who in the Met **isn’t** a kiddie fiddler or rapist..
Polite reminder to anyone preparing the usual defence that the full saying is “One bad apple **spoils the barrel**”.
These cases only get attention because they’re police. “Random man rapes random woman” is something most people don’t click on, so it’s underreported. “Police Officer rapes woman” is something people care about. It’s called overreporting. The more interesting or enraging a story is, the more it gets posted by media companies. Police misconduct is interesting, so you hear about it more than if it weren’t police related. Also, police recruiters don’t have magic mind reading devices that can instantly tell whether or not you’re a rapist.
And they still tell children to trust a policeman the Met is rotten to the core.
