I mean, yeah.
I was here during the refugee crisis, and the open racism back then has nothing on the shit people say today. If you’re a white spouse of a guy working in tech, you can be unemployed and living off Kela and everyone will pat you on the back and tell you that learning Finnish is hard and you don’t need it anyway. If you’re a black, brown, or Muslim woman, everything is somehow all your fault and even if you do have a job and pay taxes, you’re still a “low-quality” immigrant in the eyes of 20% of the population.
