An affiliate of Enterprise Products Partners has chosen Bridger Photonics’ Gas Mapping LiDAR (GML) technology and data insights to provide enhanced methane emission data and analytics throughout its operations.

The technology is designed to function effectively across vast geographic areas, improving safety and enhancing operational efficiency within Enterprise’s midstream infrastructure.

Bridger’s GML technology enables Enterprise to identify, locate and measure methane emissions.

In January, Bridger Photonics’ GML technology was approved by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for regulatory compliance.

This airborne methane detection system utilises laser sensors mounted on small aircraft and helicopters to perform scans for methane across every tier of the EPA’s scanning framework, helping to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.

Bridger’s technology has undergone extensive validation, supported by more than a dozen peer-reviewed scientific articles and assessments conducted by independent third parties.

This rigorous process provides the transparency and reliability essential for Enterprise to make informed and justifiable decisions.

Furthermore, Bridger offers access to verifiable data and practical insights that facilitate prompt and precise repairs, as well as long-term strategies for reducing emissions, ensuring that gas remains within the pipelines.

Bridger Photonics CEO Ben Little said: “Enterprise’s selection of Bridger underscores the industry’s shift toward credible, high-resolution methane data that doesn’t compromise on quality or operational feasibility.

“We are proud to work with an organisation that is deeply committed to safety, innovation and responsible operations.”

Bridger’s collaboration with US midstream operators assists companies in meeting regulatory requirements and achieving emissions reductions, according to the company.

“Enterprise Products Partners selects Bridger Photonics’ LiDAR technology for methane emission detection” was originally created and published by Offshore Technology, a GlobalData owned brand.
