    Russia is able to continue to fund their side of the war (they are the aggressor) by selling to the world. Stop the sales and their money dries up. While it may not stop the war, it does knock out a leg from under them and can be a domino leading to the end of the war.

  46. This administration is so inconsistent. Trump begs Europe to put tarrifs on China and India “to put pressure on Russia” and they also say they have no reason to economically isolate them and don’t want to put tarrifs on them or other additional sanctions.

  47. The whole irony of this is how we’ve gone “full circle” in the most perverse way. See, Trump’s mentor when he was a young upstart was a man named Roy Cohn, as some of you may know. What isn’t well known is that Roy Cohn was not only special counsel for Joseph McCarthy during his hearings in 1954, but Cohn also was responsible for prosecuting the first US citizens to be convicted executed by the US government for spying for the Soviet Union. Trump’s mentor was instrumental in the McCarthyism movement of the 1950’s; a movement that saw so much persecution of left-wing ideology, that McCarthy was censured.

    Fast forward to today, Trump is still actively persecuting people and institutions with left-wing beliefs and ideologies, while at the same time, working in the interests of a Russian leader that seeks to restore the Soviet Union.
