Croatia recorded 75,495 unemployed persons at the end of August, 14.2% fewer than in the same month last year, according to data from the Croatian Employment Service (HZZ).
Compared to July, unemployment rose by 3.2% with 2,312 more people out of work. Currently, 74,677 people are registered with HZZ, while 20,218 job vacancies are open.
In August, nearly 9,700 people joined the unemployment register, mostly from previous employment, while 7,380 left the system, of whom 4,660 secured jobs.
