The Duke of Sussex said the King was “great” after meeting his father for the first time in 19 months.
Prince Harry was seen arriving by car shortly after 5pm on Wednesday afternoon at Clarence House, the King’s London residence, where he stayed for nearly an hour.
Buckingham Palace later confirmed that Harry had joined the King for what was described as a private tea.
Within an hour, Harry had departed in a black car for an event for his Invictus Games in the Swiss Re building, known as the Gherkin, in the City of London. Asked upon his arrival how the King was, Harry replied: “Yes, he’s great, thank you.”
Harry arrived at the event slightly later than planned after getting caught in traffic thought to have been caused by the Tube strike, as he is no longer afforded a blue-light police escort. He appeared relaxed, telling guests: “I think this whole thing has been delayed slightly, so at this point you’re all hammered — which was part of the plan all along, stuck up here at the top of the Gherkin.”

They are father and son so it’s good they got to finally meet and talk.
