The stupidity of this sort of sentiment is just baffling. If someone wanted to track you and do harm they wouldn’t want to do so using a platform that tracks them, has all their details and pays their fucking wages. It just makes no sense at all.
Also for that bollocks of “you know the milk man” etc, what the fuck is stopping you from getting to know someone just because they are an immigrant? You fucking prick.
Finally, anyone living in anything larger than a very small town (i.e the majority of people) won’t be knowing all the folks coming to their door in great detail and never fucking did. And to see other comments on here being like “how is he wrong” etc, holy FUCK. It’s is mental how stupid people can be, fucking social media brain rot. On that point, I recognise that I also am falling victim to the outrage machine and I’m contributing to it with this comment. Point being, we need to figure out some larger scale way to regulate and clamp down on social media as individual action with things as is is hopeless. Individual action trying to push for regulation etc has a good chance, I don’t mean to dismiss individual action in general, I just mean if social media is allowed to remain as it is then there’s not much we can do. We can try to discuss and raise awareness but it’s like telling people heroin is bad but they have an ulimited dispenser in their pocket that they need to also use for work and banking and that everyone else uses so sure it must be fine, why shouldn’t I?
When I was younger, I didn’t know the milkman’s name. He would pull up outside our house, the address of which he knew, and put out the milk corresponding with that address and name, and then disappeared off into the sunrise with that info. Who was he? Where did he come from? What checks were done?

JustEat/Deliveroo are overly expensive shite and for that reason alone should be avoided, but he only cares because it’s affecting his earnings and he’s utilising fear to put people off it. He can fuck away off with that sort of scaremongering nonsense.

Yet, the same milkman could have been the prick that battered his wife, or abused his kids, or was horrible to those who knew him but knew how to make everyone else think differently. Not saying it’s entirely true, but not everyone knows everyone has much as they think. So the “undocumented” Deliveroo and Just Eat driver is just going to get targeted?
Everyone is anonymous, until you get to know them. From a friendly interaction, to long term interactions. You can say the milkman drove around with a smile on his face, and said hello. So did the Deliveroo driver.
Did the milkman get a back round check? Because let’s face it, way back when, anyone could be a milkman or do paper rounds. These people still knew addresses. What difference does it make that an app that allows folks to order food, relays relevant information such as the fucking address to deliver, compare to using Tesco or other forms of food delivery services?

Once got burgled on the day we left for holiday! Milkman was the only non family member knew the date we were leaving!

Whenever I did work for deliveroo years ago, I had to have a criminal background check and provide ID.
I assumed everyone had to go through that process or an I mistaken?
